L’opera è stata realizzata in occasione del 150° anniversario dell’unità d’Italia per l’esposizione “WPA. 21 artisti contemporanei interpretano l’America” seguendo la tematica del programma dell’assessorato alla cultura del comune di Schio ispirata agli scritti di William Saroyan. Nasce da alcune riflessioni sulla demografia, sull’identità individuale, nazionale, globale.

The Flag

The work was made on the 150th anniversary of the Italy’s unification for the exhibition “WPA 21 contemporary artists interpret America” following the theme underlying the program of the Department of Culture of the municipality of Schio inspired by the writings of William Saroyan. The work is the result of some reflections on demography, on individual, national, global identity.
